April 2025 Visa Bulletin Update

The U.S. Department of State has released the April 2025 Visa Bulletin, providing updates on immigrant visa availability for the upcoming month. This article outlines the priority dates that determine when applicants can file for adjustment of status or receive immigrant visas across various employment-based (EB) and family-based (FB) categories.

Employment-Based Categories

In April, USCIS will use the Final Action Dates chart for employment-based adjustment of status applications

Dates for Filing Chart:

The Dates for Filing chart remains unchanged from the previous month, indicating no advancement in priority dates for any employment-based or family-based categories. Applicants should not expect new filing opportunities in April based on the Dates for Filing chart.

Final Action Dates Chart:

The Final Action Dates chart for family-based categories remains unchanged from the March 2025 bulletin.

EB-1 Category:

  • India: Advances by two weeks to February 15, 2022.​

  • China: Remains at November 8, 2022.​

  • All Other Countries: Remain Current.

EB-2 Category:

  • India: Advances by one month to January 1, 2013.

  • China: Advances by nearly five months to October 1, 2020.

  • All Other Countries: Advance by more than five weeks to June 22, 2023.

EB-3 Category:

  • India: Advances by two months to April 1, 2013.​

  • China: Advances by three months to November 1, 2020.​

  • All Other Countries: Advance by one month to January 1, 2023.

EB-4 Category: Unavailable due to the exhaustion of visa numbers for FY2025.

EB-5 Category:

  • China: Retrogresses significantly from July 15, 2016, to January 22, 2014.

  • India: Retrogresses from January 1, 2022, to November 1, 2019.
